I use the latest ac series and acpi is ok - though alan still does not
recommend it. Know what - ACPI turns off power on my box even though mine is
not an ATX!!! APM goes to power down.

I did not do that. Maybe its reqd for power management, but for a simple
power off - i did not need that.
