Suresh, I had checked it with joe for 3/4 times before
posting the query.
'M' only show-up in joe. And there must be some way in joe
like in WS to toggle
this flag ( newlines , em-spaces, tab characters etc. ). Not
knowing. :(

Nope ! Nobody in that company would take pains to use
"dos2unix" every-time
they want to open/edit a file. Those are "10am-to-6.00pm"
guys.

Yep, this may be one of the soln, if it does not involve any
new learning curves.

I know "smbpop", but nobody use it for opening/editing
files, I guess ! Other-wise
mutt is the best !!

"tr" may be the solution, and I will have to write a
shell-script to automate the job
of :
1) cat filename.dos | tr -d '\015' > filename.unix
2) opening the converted file in joe
etc...
Yeh ! "joe" for editing a local file in Linux and "wjoe" for
editing a winxx saved file in Linux.
Have we contributed to Linux development to a little extent
? ;-)
Regards & thanks !
