Well, there are a couple of howto documents in your linux installation
/usr/share/doc/Howto directory that give a detailed explanation. First look
there.
There is a much easier way to multiboot using the Win2k startup menu. You
have to add an entry to linux boot sector of the linux partition. First do a
dd if=/dev/hda12 of=/bootsect.lnx cs=512 count=1 at the linux prompt
(assuming /dev/hda12 as the linux root partition) then copy the file
bootsect.lnx to your windows partition.
Then under windows edit boot.ini file and an entry for your bootsect.lnx
such as
c:\bootsect.lnx="Red Hat Linux" at the end.
now reboot and test...
