Which internal modem are you talking about? Can you specify the brand of the
modem and the chipset it uses?
If your modem's a winmodem, then check out
http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/Winmodems-and-Linux-HOWTO.html to see how you
could configure it in linux.
PCQ had given out drivers for the Motorola 56K internal modems with their PCQ
Linux 7.1 distro two months ago.
