I am using pcqlinux 7.1 w/ an everything install. On running printconf-gui from kde, I am able to set up my HP 670C, lpd is restarting but it gives an error on trying to print a test page. This is from my /var/log/messages:

Identical steps for configuring the printer had worked for my old i810 mobo and te same printer. The printer is able to print a self-test page. On a seemingly relate note, whwnever I start X an error message saying Hostname:error setting up hostname or something similar momentarily flashes across the screen and then X starts. This is my /etc/hosts 127.0.0.1 farzaan localhost.localdomain localhost also: [root@farzaan /etc]# uname -n farzaan.localdomain regrads, Sharukh. -- Dr. Sharukh K. R. Pavri.
