This is a feature of SMTP. I'm afraid you cant do anything to restrict this.
You can block relaying of course, if someone pretends to be you@your-domain
and tries to send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] through your smtp.
But if some student within your college is playing tricks there are two
options
1. Encourage use of strong encryption and PGP among your students
2. If you catch a student doing this (maintain workstation logs and track
login and logout times) kick his / her ass hard, and/or disable computer
privileges.
3. Lay down an acceptable use policy and specify penalties for violating 'em.
You do this once or twice and I guess the problem will die down all of its
own.
