hi vijay,
         there will not be any problem if u make first partition of 3 gb.
the only thing to taken care of is that ur linux boot partition should lye
before 8gb. u make ur boot partition before this limit and install rest of
linux whereever u like. one more thing to tell is that it is not necessery
to make 3GB partion for win2k. u can make it of lesser size also(arround
1.5 GB will b sufficient) if u have lesser size.
