Looking at the Compaq machines in my office, I can tell you that there is nothing special about the Power Supply. The only thing that matters is the power handling capacity of the SMPS - It seems to be a 375W power supply.. Get a similar or higher rated SMPS. Make sure the size is correct too. Usually, the manufacturers name will be on the power supply unit.
If the PC is under warranty, get it replaced.
