Kingsly. I have compiled using PCQ 7.1 sources on my friends machine. It
compiled without any problems. May be some option which I might not have
selected (since not required), might be giving a problem. For me it worked. 

I had to recompile the kernel because with the default kernel I could not
configure the internal modem. After recompiling the kernel a new
modversion.h file was created and than I could compile and load PCtel HSP
internal modem drivers.
