Yes. That was the first thing I tried. Moved ~/.galeon/ and ~/.mozilla/
out of their regular places so that they could be re-created. Still, the
problem persists. 

As somebody mentioned on debian-user, pointed my browser at
http://bewitched.com and was able to view the animations there. So, java
plugins are working correctly.

Only problem is at the pcquest and citibank site. As Kingsly tells, will
check out some of the e-sites.
