Hi all, I have the following entries in my /etc/resolv.conf
search egenisys.com nameserver 10.20.254.103 nameserver 10.20.254.101 The nameserver at .101 has an entry for home.egenisys.com. The .103 nameserver does not. If I ping home.egenisys.com, I get a reply ping: unknown host home.egenisys.com If i interchange the sequence of the namservers search egenisys.com nameserver 10.20.254.101 nameserver 10.20.254.103 I'm able to ping home.egenisys.com Isn't it that if I have two nameserver entries in my resolv.conf and one of them is not able to resolve a request, the system would query the next nameserver?
