Hi there,
I want to know if there are any free relay servers for use in
the DS
("smart" relay host) setting of sendmail. Is it okay to specify a DS,
because i heard such mail servers are blacklisted and mail sent thro the
servers are rejected. Btw if i masquerade as yahoo.com ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
will i be able to relay to yahoo ? (me thinks not :)). If u can point
me to some resources, it would be of great help. My headers still come
from (root@localhost) by uss.com even though a localdns and MX record
has been set and there is no mention of "localhost" in my system. How do
i change this ? Sometimes my mail doesn't reach ilugc (yesterday) . Is
this the root cause of the problem ?
Another thing, what do i have to enable to get smtp auth ? In evolution
there is an option
* Use authentication (smtp), with password ?
* Or is it POP before SMTP
Pls help me becoz i didn't get the mail from yahoo about this, i am
unable to send smtp mail to yahoo..
