on starting wvdial, the last comment I got was " Starting pppd at Wed
Feb 13 22:54:07 2002" no command prompt. Now, anything I type in is
repeated, but not executed. So, how do I do the above ( as Mr.Naren has
suggested).

As per Mr.Kingsley's suggetion, ctrl-c works fine. Actually, that's how
the original trouble began, but now ctrl-c is not giving any trouble
(the exit _is_ graceful).

My requirement was, I want to use pine (from outside X), after
connecting to my isp through wvdial, and then see my mails from yahoo.
OK, I have learnt to connect using wvdial (have I really, no
prompt/action), and to exit wvdial. I have looked up wvdial how-tos, but
they tell how to set up ppp. How to run pine/mutt after wvdial connects
me ? Any hints ?

Thanks and regards,
K.Ghosh.
