o If you dial from console with the wvdial command, and it stays in the foreground on the console, merely pressing [Ctrl-C] will terminate the wvdial and pppd sessions. o If wvdial has been started as a background process, then it is prudent to kill both wvdial and pppd, to prevent redial.
