Moved my company's mailserver to Courier. Now that is one great MTA, and a complete email solution. Includes (E)SMTP, POP3, POP3S, IMAP, SIMAP, WebMail, Web based Admin, BOFH stuff and lots more. Also operates only on Maildirs - so you can use either Unix quotas or Maildir quotas. It is undoubtedly a great package. Minuses (I personally don't consider these as minuses, but YMMV) are: stickler for RFCs, Has interoperability issues with MS Mail clients (Sam asks Microsoft to actually read the RFCs before implementing them :-) when it comes to IMAP and can be a bit tiring to compile/install if you prefer the configure;make;make install route. Now checking the performance. No hassles so far. :-) Passed the relay testers out there (Checked MAPS and ORDB) out of the box.
