That is understandable beacuse of the number of colours. I too would
like to run at 24/32 bpp. But, gl spectrum under xmms is slooow. At
16bpp, it flies. Is it due to dri or due to reduced number of colours, I
have to find out by disbaling dri and checking. In regular work, 16bpp
should be more than sufficient.
