I am using pcqlinux 7.1 on a p120 w/ cirrus logic GD543x w/ CTX 1451 monitor. This is an old 14" interlaced monitor. When I run X the rt. border of the screen gives a peculiar effect as if the edge of the screen is folded back. I don't know if I am explaining this right but if I take the mouse cursor to the extreme rt. edge of the screen, it seems to turn around and gives a laterally inverted image of itself right at the edge of the screen. If I open any app and maximise it, the rt. edge of the window lands up outsie the screen.
I ran xvidtune and got the screen properly adjusted by moving it to the left. But as soon as I log out, and restart X the adjustment is lost. I even copied the modeline generated by xvidtune to XF86Config before the other modelines but it does not work. What else do I need to do to retain the adjustment made by xvidtune. regards, Sharukh. -- Dr. Sharukh K. R.
