Run xvidtune and jot down the figures, including MHz. Add mode lines at the end of Monitor section. A sample mode line for my Trident 975 and LG Studioworks 775N monitor is as follows:
ModeLine "1024x768" 78.80 1024 1064 1160 1312 768 773 776 796 capital L in ModeLine is important. I added three lines for three resolutions to XF86Config, manually. It works.
