Just lost the original thread.

Why do not we follow the  freebsd type of resolution here.

create a group called wheel.Change the permissions with setgid,to the wheel 
group.Now any user who wants to do a su
needs to be part of the wheel group.So anyuser can be set with secondary 
group to that of wheel.
