I agree with you but only problem I have with such discussion is that it leads 
to a dead end without any useful conclusion. So it's essentially not a good 
investment of effort.

Yes we should be aware of policies and practices but we shouldn't overdo it 
here. Which is the case often, sadly.. IMO that is..
