Looks like some parts of the disk are bad.
Either there are bad sectors within the FAT32 partition or the disk may be
reaching EOL.
THe disk making a humming noise may be because of bad sectors leading the
drive electronics to retry the reads while doing error
checking/correction.
I'd suggest you backup data on that disk (from its working partitions) and
save it someplace safe.
Another this you could do is to try and create a partition image of the
vfat partition (using dd).
Then you could possibly use the loop device to mount it and get your data
off of it.
