[LIH] MATLAB in Linux

Hi!
I have been trying to find my way out in using MATLAB on Linux.
The question plaguing my mind is since I spend almost same for Linux as I do for Widnows for MATLAB, is it worth all the effort to start the learning curve almost again for Linux when I am doing ok! with Windows.
Has someone used MATALB on Linux and can he/she plz. share the experience and any suggestions.
I would be using the mathemtical nalysis tools for splines/numerical analyis/PDE's as well as data acquisition and signal processing tool boxes.
