Hi List,

Can some please tell me how to use a Block Device (such as /dev/sda1) as a
row device. I know how to make a row device (using row command) but I want
to know what happens when I use a block device as a row device. I know a
block device uses cache for reading from disk and a row device access it
directly from the disk. one of DB2 Admin needs this for DB2's backup
configuration + mirroring. I referred to LinuxHowTo but it is confusing.
Please tell me if some one else has also done that or give some useful
links.

Regards,
Dheeraj
