Of course. But becoming an expert and using your expertise to make a living are different ball games. Typically, this is what happens is corporate circles: IT: We need a Linux administrator. At least in India, a self respecting sysadmin with middle-class mentality (career, retirement planning, tax sops, kids' education, housing loan...) should get these certifications, IMO.
