etc/fstab:
/dev/cdrom   /mnt/cdrom        iso9660 noauto,owner,kudzu,ro 0 0

Next,
$ ll /dev/cdrom
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root    root  9 Feb  3 23:34 /dev/cdrom -> /dev/scd0

I had checked this earlier too, and was mystified by why the drive was
being detected as /dev/hdc
