Double-hmm... apt permits you to do the same or a better job without
having to go through all that registration with Red Hat cr*p. I mean,
why on earth should I provide my system profile to RH? Are they
aiming at becoming another MS? </rant>

Apt also permits you to specify multiple package repositories. For
instance, there is an apt repository that contains bleeding-edge gnome
applications. Other repositories (presumably) will provide other
packages that RH itself doesn't provide -- e.g. the MP3-enabled XMMS
is available at freshrpms, but not from RH. Question: Does up2date
permit you to download files from multiple (non-RH) repositories?

Regards,
