You are right. I had a celeron 266 with 64 MB RAM. Neither xine nor
mplayer ran on it.  But windows media player(6.4) played VCD's in it.
Now I have a celeron 900 MHz with 128 MB and both xine and mplayer run
on it.

I remeber to have seen on mplayer homepage that it was tested on a P
II 400 MHz system, though am not too sure of it (Way back in aug,sep
2001). So I think xine or mplayer needs atleast a P II 400 MHz class
system. Has any list member run it on a slower machine ?
