I have another idea, don't know better or worse.. I will boot from working 
mandrake installation but pass root=/dev/hdc i.e. CDROM to lilo.. If that 
works, that would be simplest of things..

Need to wait till I get home..:-)

And why can't you put word wrap.. That is almost an offense when you are using 
linux..
