My working with DSL (on win as linux support for my DSL box is not yet
available) takes me to conclusion that the connectivity is not
consistent and sometimes there are long period of in-activity and then
burst of speed. This could be reason for intermittent error, especially
during the "busy" time at local internet cafes!!
