I think it is possible, in that, the NTFS partitions are "read only" and 
write  mode is experimental. 

I read somewhere that if we want to  dual boot win2000 and linux or dos, to 
share the files, between the  OSes the files to be shared have to reside in a 
FAT16 partition. 
Win2k installs in Fat32 or NTFS partitions only.It does not install on a Fat16 
filesystem. 
     was also said that if we install win2000 in a FAT16 partition it is
