And you are confusing filtering direct connections from dynamic IP pools (which is what happens if you try mailing directly from a dialup), with this ...

look at this for example -

qmail wont do that (sending fake HELOs) by default. sendmail / postfix etc wont either. only spam / virus clients will.

ditto with sending me mail that says helo hotmail.com but the smtp connection is not from a hotmail IP.

[note - HELO, not mail from: ... even if you set your from to [EMAIL PROTECTED] in mutt, mail will go out from your qmail with helo your.hostname - say helo payal.staticky.com]
