It's kind of sad thing, getting an ip used to mean ability to browse web and to send out mails with out any one's help. But equally sad part is the number of spam mails I have been getting. In my experience as an anti spam activist for an ISP here has been that their are very few people who deliberately spam. I have about 2 3 cases in about an year. But most are relayed though using open proxys or some virus infected machines sending out spam with out owner's knowledge.


Just like the "war" against terrorism the questions boils down to how much liberty are we prepared to trade for security?
