Hey Nimesh, thanks a lot for the piece of advice..... the bit bout installing Windows after installing Linux.... well, I honestly have no idea how to install Windows without having it wipe out other bootloaders!!!!! If Linux is on a separate hard-disk or IF I had partitioned diffrently, and set different boot partitions for Linux DURING the initial installation, it probably would have worked, but I didn't, and in this scenario, I cant think of anything that will work........
Reinstalling GRUB from the cds was not really a problem for me..... I knew that I always had that option.... but the problem is that I borrowed thsoe cds from a friend, and now the cds are with... 'a friend of a friend of my friend' .... and all...... so, I was wondering if I could get GRUB back in anyother way..... If theres some other third-party installer that'll let me install a boot-loader thru DOS....... and if a bootdisk created on another linux installation will help me get in again......... I would like to know if anyof those are possible too, coz I need to wait a long time to get back the cds!!!! Thanks again, Karthik PS - is this the right way to reply? I get the daily digest thing, and so, Im sending a msg now with the above subject, to the same address to which I sent the query..... the [EMAIL PROTECTED] addy....... __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
