You need to follow the instructions given for installation on a floppy. The floppy must be error-free and will get formatted as 1.7MB. Also, your floppy drive should be a good one. Out of three floppy drives available with me, only one is able to install Toms, even though the others are equally good with 1.44MB floppies.
