Hello all,
Regarding using the RIM phone(LG Set) as a modem
to connect to the internet using R Connect, there is
some information missing in the Reliance Infocom site.

I have a Mnadrake 8.1 box. I hadn't bothered about
the USB settitngs of my kernel (2.4.18).
I downloaded the linux Rconnect software from Reliance
site.
But when I tried to connect to Internet using my
Linux box, it didn't respond!.

Then I searched the web, to find out that the Kernel
should have USB FTDI support enabled.

I enabled the same, recompiled the kernel and lo!
I am able to connect to Internet.

You can check up the following URL
http://www.hackgnu.org/ril-howto.html

Regards,
Pradeep
