I want to access GSM Modem / GSM Mobile Phone into my Linux Box and send
the SMS through Linux using my GSM SIM Card.

Please give me some hints.

I've used nokia 6110 and right now am using nokia 3530 to do the same. I can send/receive sms, send ringtones (not available by default in phone), transfer huge midi files to the phone etc. apart from that can take entire backup of sms messages, make calls, receive calls etc. through that interface only.

am using gammu (http://www.mwiacek.com/gsm/gammu/gammu.html) to do the communication. it is NOT gui based. yu may also want to look at gnokii (http://www.gnokii.org). i'm using it on linux, but windows binaries are also available.

for connectivity i'm using a data cable which fits into back of my phone. procured it for approx. Rs. 300. its not difficult at all if the phone is detected properly. remember, yu've to fix battery as well in the slot provided in the data cable.
