Ok, there is no mbox file or directory shown.I have a 'mail' directory listed. Checked there but to no avail. Now the thing is that the same problem has occurred with another user. Why could that be? The /var/spool/mail/<user_name> file just shows 0 bytes. Tried to create a database and check too. But slocate doesn't give any mbox listing. Any more pointers????
Electrons were rearranged and spewed into cyberspace thusly >>> Sudev Barar > This is correct. When you started pine it read the > /var/spool/mail/"USER" and moved all mails to /home/"USER"/mbox file. > (~/mbox as guru's told you) Unless you gave some other path when you > setup pine. Try "updatedb" and then "locate mbox" go through the output. -- Gautham Venkataram Asst.
