I need some pointers for a Linux+winxp dual-boot setup on a Toshiba laptop. The laptop already has linux installed on it and I need to resize the linux partition (which I pan to do with SystemRescueCD) and then install winxp. Most of the howtos talk about Linux installation after WinXP has been installed. I want it the other way round.
Install XP in a primary partition
It will overwrite the MBR
Then boot in with your linux CD or a linux boot floppy and then configure and run lilo / grub to make it a dual boot system
Keep an eye on the partition table so you know what's installed where, though.
