Hi Ritesh

The problem wasn't mine.

If everything else fails, you can boot with win CD, do 'fixmbr' and 'fixboot' then try booting win98, after this you can boot with linux CD and install Grub again, try putting it in linux partition and then copy linux boot image with 'dd', also edit boot.ini in your 'C:' drive to enable dual booting.
Does win98 come with fixmbr || fixboot ??
Even though, for win98 the old command that I'd remember is fdisk /mbr.

But does that solve the problem ? It would clear the MBR. That doesn't
guarantee that windoze would boot. And you'd have already lost your Grub
loader.

For all the other good people of this forum, telling someone to "go look someplace else" really doesn't help anyone, after all we are supposed to be 'Open Community' and all the tech problem related in any way to Linux should be heard, and answered in a way that enriches the knowledge of everyone who uses this forum.

You may be right at your point.
But Windoze isn't open ..
