OSPF is meant to work on Intranets. BGP is an extranet protocol. Don't mixup the two :). They solve different problems.
Define "intranet" and "extranet" - especially in the context of how you configure your servers, and your network.
You can very well use ospf - or if you want to set up load balancing across several sites, you'd use bgp based load balancing or even anycast (though that'd be overkill)
