This is not the sort of list where such issues get settled by "enforcement" by list admins in order to conform to their own views of what constitutes a signal to noise ratio.


However, people who top post on a regular basis and ask one liner questions, without bothering to read / follow the context will pretty often find that their posts are not being responded to at all. So either they learn and start quoting their posts, or they leave.

Personally I feel the trick is to stick to one style of quoting throughout the conversation (top posting all the way, for those of you who have to deal with outlook using colleagues, works well. Hitting reply, quoting their text and then answering below, only to have somebody else top post, tends to be a bit annoying to read.

Whatever, this is not a question of list policy or its enforcement. At least, hopefully not on the LI-* lists.
