You are right. I guess the server doesn't support UIDL. When I try to
connect using mutt command :
$ mutt -f pops://pop.gmail.com 
I get the error -  "The command UIDL is not supported by the server" .
And then mutt exits.
I don't know if it is because I don't have a ssl enabled mutt client
or other wise.
