How do I type it at that prompt? In case I telnet, it closes the connection abruptly once I type USER <userid>. > And see why it is rejecting. Most probably you have not enabled POP3 > access for yourself in Gmail's settings. Been there, done that. I guess it is some problem with the certificates. Anyway, web access is fine for now, and POP access works without port forwarding. It is only when I am behind a firewall that I want to do port forwarding to get mail. Thanks.
