Granted the Linux is now mainstream, and you don't have Real Programmers a dime a
dozen... but saying that "think about
novice programmers" is rather funny IMHO for that seems to suggest that Real
Programmers are born that way and thus
never had to pass the novice stage.... pls check out the Jargon File what the phrase
"larval stage" stands for....

I am plain-vanilla vi user <personal choice> .... but I have seen the power of
particularly Emacs with syntax checking
& coloring activated.... its nothing to laugh about -- just put a designated delimiter
or tag at the wrong place & you
will see what I mean....

Nothing hangs without a reason... whether the OS allows you a chance to figure out
what went wrng is another matter ;-)
Besides if BSOD is a plus point for Windows, I wonder what are its minus points....
