do u have a permanent net connection (not a dialup)
do u have a dns entry for lin.iisim.ac.in with any *dns* services ?
did u register the name lin.iisim.ac.in with internic ?
if answer to these questions are no, then u probably will never be
able to do what u need the straight way.
there is another way which u may find in the mini howtos
(they come as text in a folder in the RH 5.2 pcq cd)
here u fetch mail from a internet account like that of ETH or VSNL
using fetchmail and forcibly supply it to a mail handler, which can be
a custom script which will scan the subject line and find names or
the to field to find names in quotes, then inject the whole bl**dy mail
to the MTA (sendmail) to the corresponding receipient.
if interested, i send me a query, i may find time to write a shell script
specific for ur purpose. (may because i am currently too busy
searching a placement, so once I settle somewhere) or some one may
already have the solution using procmail as the mta BTW i am not
so familiar with the procmail stuff.
