I took a look at patch-2.4.1-pre8-irda1 to try to understand why it has
not been incorporated. The reasons appear obvious.
1. Once again , it is a jumble of patches.
2. It opens with a an error in the patch to Configure.help
(nsc-irrc should be ali-irrc)
3. It includes both experimental and bug fix patches.
4. It is diffed against an old kernel.
I hope it was not sent to Linus in this condition.
