Wow, i made it!!
And it works great!!
If you want to try it first:
a) rcserial stop
b) rcirda stop
c) setserial /dev/ttyS2 irq3
d) rcserial start
e) irdadump :))
If you want to let it work after booting:
a) vi /etc/init.d/boot.d/S10serial
b) scroll and uncomment
#run_setserial /dev/ttyS2 uart 16450 port 0x3E8 irq 4
c) change it to
run_setserial /dev/ttyS2 uart 16550A port 0x3E8 irq 3
d) be happy, it works.
You can start irda afterwards e.g.
ln -s /etc/init.d/irda /etc/init.d/boot.d/S11irda
If u do it with
yast or
vi /etc/rc.config
IRDA_START = yes
IRDA_PORT = /dev/ttyS2
are right.
What can u do with it?
to take datas from Handtop (PalmVx)
pilot-xfer -p /dev/ircomm0 -l and whatever u need from pilot-xfer.
I bet u can make a lot more.
Since StarOffice and jpilot both are based on pilot-xfer, they will work
with the device option /dev/ircomm0 too.
Hope it can help.
Manu.
