Hi! I compiled a new kernel (2.4.13-pre4) with IrDA debugging statements, and this is what I get:
===[CUT] Oct 18 10:46:49 dellie kernel: irport_net_open_Rb21c48be() Oct 18 10:46:49 dellie kernel: irlap_change_speed(), setting speed to 9600 Oct 18 10:46:52 dellie kernel: irport_hard_xmit_R13126127() Oct 18 10:46:52 dellie kernel: ircc_change_speed Oct 18 10:46:52 dellie kernel: ircc_change_speed(), using irport to change speed to 9600 Oct 18 10:46:52 dellie kernel: irport_change_speed_R07027a0b(), Setting speed to: 9600 Oct 18 10:46:52 dellie kernel: irport_change_speed_complete() Oct 18 10:46:52 dellie kernel: irport_hard_xmit_R13126127() Oct 18 10:47:23 dellie last message repeated 75 times Oct 18 10:47:35 dellie last message repeated 28 times Oct 18 10:47:36 dellie kernel: maestro3: version 1.22 built at 09:52:56 Oct 18 2001 Oct 18 10:47:36 dellie kernel: PCI: Found IRQ 5 for device 00:08.0 Oct 18 10:47:36 dellie kernel: maestro3: Configuring ESS Maestro3(i) found at IO 0xC800 IRQ 5 Oct 18 10:47:36 dellie kernel: maestro3: subvendor id: 0x00b01028 Oct 18 10:47:37 dellie kernel: ac97_codec: AC97 Audio codec, id: 0x8384:0x7609 (SigmaTel STAC9721/23) Oct 18 10:47:37 dellie kernel: irlap_state_ndm(), media busy! After that, no more connections are possible (in fact, no IR is transmitted). Does this ring a bell to anyone? Bye & Good Luck!
