Did irattach /dev/ttyS0 -s and it liked that but I'm supposing that 
ttyS0 is the right port to configure.  Might be ttyS1 for all I know.
Tried that as well.

It just returns 0 every time as though the hardware refuses to 
budge.  But, the same hardware works fine with Red Hat and SuSE.
