Hi David,

I'm following the Irda development for quite a while. On my old DELL I got it
working without any probs, but on my new N505X I'm still without success.

Could you mail me your BIOS settings, especially the sections "IrDA", "Serial
Port" and "PnP OS"?

When modprobe-ing with
modprobe nsc-ircc dongle_id=0x09
I get the following output:

Feb 1 01:39:25 mini kernel: IrDA (tm) Protocols for Linux-2.2 (Dag Brattli)
Feb 1 01:39:25 mini kernel: nsc-ircc, Found chip at base=0x398
Feb 1 01:39:25 mini kernel: nsc-ircc, driver loaded (Dag Brattli)
Feb  1 01:39:25 mini kernel: nsc_ircc_open(), can't get iobase of 0x2f8

Any ideas??

Thanks
Juergen
